Valley Technology's managing director, Alastair Broom, is presenting during the opening panel of the Society for Computers and Law annual Conference in Edinburgh on the subject of "Convergence 3.0".
Over two days in Edinburgh's George Hotel, the conference is examining the impact of converging technologies and whether IT lawyers should be concerned with their clients data vanishing into The Cloud.
Alastair's briefing is from a IT business perspective, covering the old model of IT Business Systems (installed at customer sites; per-user license fees), and the newer models which are emerging, such as Software as a Service (web 2.0 website; per-transaction small fee).
The presentation will introduce the element of danger, through the live demonstration of Valley Technology's Software-as-a-Service offering: the pay-as-you-go proof-of-delivery service The PODFather.
