Conference - "Sales - The Top Line" - Stirling, 21st September 2006 |
| Posted on Aug 27 2006 |
Valley Technology will be exhibiting at the Young Company Finance conference at the Stirling Management Centre on 21st September 2006.
More details about the conference are here.
Following the theme of the conference - "Sales - The Top Line" - Valley Technology will be demonstrating three pieces of web-based Open Source Software which help companies manage their sales processes
- SugarCRM: Customer Relationship Management software, for storing details of everyone you ever meet, or may ever need to contact again. Also manages Sales campaigns.
- Wiki: the software behind the well-known online encyclopedia "wikipedia" is "mediawiki", and it is Open Source. A wiki gives a company a searchable database of information pages. Accessed through a web browser, a wiki is a user-friendly way of jotting meeting notes, storing instructions, noting customer details and any other piece of information you may need to track.
- RT - Request Tracker: for companies who have multiple customers, and need to track support issues or tickets for those customers, RT is an Open Source web-based application which allows managers an overview of "open" tickets, and the assigning of tickets to individual users queues.
We'll also be handing out bottles of our "open sauce". Hope to see you there.
