The challenge
JetClub had 6 years of accumulated experience of global flights, aircraft, suppliers and destinations stored in a combination of Lotus Approach databases and spreadsheets. As the company expanded, a more scalable method of storing operational information was required.
The solution
Working closely with JetClub, Valley Technology developed a secure, web-enabled database. A front end structure was set up for capturing and adding new flight details, making the information available 24/7 online.
With aircraft, air crews, customers and management constantly moving all around the world through different time zones, the web application significantly enhances the quality and security of information through all roles of the business.
An innovative link was designed to JetClub's document-management software, connecting details in the database to images of documents. Wrapping the documents in PDF format, security cleared users can now view images of original documents (e.g. invoices, flight plans, insurance certificates, permits and licenses etc) from any browser, at any time, anywhere around the globe.
